The Norwich & Norfolk Conference Bureau's appearance at International Confex exhibition in London showcased Norfolk as a fresh and exciting destination for any conference or meeting.
The East of England stand took over 300 enquiries taken over the course of the 3 days. NNCB took the opportunity to emphasize what excellent value Norfolk offes as a destination with day delegate rates in quality venues averaging £30-£40 and 24 hour rates at a comparable level.
Despite the recent economic downturn which has hit business tourism especially hard, recent research shows that companies are looking to the East of England for smaller, lower cost and 'unique' venues. In the last full year there were approximately 137k conferences held, accommodating 6m delegates and bringing a the value of just under £600m to our 6 counties region. This year, the Norwich & Norfolk Conference Bureau has confirmed and completed enquiries worth over £100k with a Direct Expenditure Benefit (DEB) of £1.5m to the county.
