Confex – Norwich & Norfolk Conference Bureau – On Stand B422

Norwich & Norfolk Conference Bureau will exhibit at COnfex 2010Norfolk's beautiful coast, countryside and world famous Norfolk Broads combine with Norwich's outstanding heritage to create a fresh and exciting destination for any conference or meeting. The Norwich & Norfolk Conference Bureau is promoting venues in Norfolk at International Confex, Earl's Court, London, 23-25 February 2010.

Potters Leisure Resort, the UK's first five star holiday village, opened the new Zest Rooms last autumn. It caters for conferences and events for up to 300 delegates in three interlocking flexible spaces.

This is what organisers are saying about the new venue: "Our Awards Evening at Zest Rooms was the best thing we have ever done and nothing but compliments all round." Linda Thornton, Lowestoft & Waveney Chamber of Commerce. "Thank you to the team at Zest for looking after us so well on Friday evening. Everything was fabulous from start to finish... I will have no hesitation in recommending Zest, and we certainly intend to be back again next year." Rebecca Lowrey, Orwell Housing Association Ltd.

The four star Sprowston Manor is a Marriott Hotel & Country Club, with spa an 18-hole golf course, gives delegates the best of both worlds: efficient business service by day in 12 well equipped conference and meetings rooms and space to relax. The hotel is just outside Norwich and close to Norwich International Airport.

Norfolk is a destination that offers excellent value for money. Day delegate rates in quality venues average £30-£40 and 24 hour rates are on a comparable level.

Three new conference venues have opened in Norwich. ‘Open', originally the local headquarters for Barclays Bank, can accommodate 400 delegates theatre style or 1400 standing for receptions and also has a range of seminar rooms.

The Forum, Norwich's landmark millennium building, has a new auditorium, The Curve, which accommodates 120 in tiered seating. Delegates can also experience the BBC's adjacent community studios along with Fusion, a giant digital screen gallery, the largest in Europe.

The new Hostry opened at Norwich Cathedral last autumn. Part of a £10m visitor and education centre, the meeting rooms feature a 120-seat conference area with smaller break out rooms on the first floor, plus space on the ground floor for small exhibitions.

Norwich has its own international airport with daily flights to the major European hub in Schipol, while Stansted is just over an hour's drive away. There are two direct trains an hour from London Liverpool Street to Norwich. Journeys to London King's Cross, from King's Lynn in the west of the county, offer access to Stansted and take under two hours.
