THE OFFICIAL SOURCE FOR CONFERENCES IN NORFOLK CALL +44 (0) 1603 638422

"Norwich and Norfolk have been hidden gems in the UK conference market. But the county is fast emerging as an area with a great deal to offer. Perceptions of remoteness no longer reflect reality. Improvements in the road network have brought London and the Midlands to within two to three hours’ drive time, while better rail services and the growth in domestic flights to Norwich International Airport, have made the region accessible to most of the UK and Europe via Schipol.

I was particularly struck by the investment in venues, I am really looking forward to bringing the BACD Convention to Norwich in 2009. I know that we will have a very successful event and am confident that BACD delegates will be surprised and delighted by their experiences, just as I have been."

(Tony Rogers, Chief Executive, BACD (British Association of Conference Destinations))
"we contacted the conference bureau in the early stages of planning and they were involved in helping us prepare the winning bid to bring the event to Norwich.

The bureau also helped us choose accommodation and set up a web page so delegates from all over the world could book directly online. It made a big difference to the organising committee to have such efficient and professional service on hand and was completely free of charge to the group. I would recommend that anyone organising an event in Norfolk make life easier for themselves and go through the Bureau."

(Mark Hand, Marketing Manager, The Forum Trust)
"The 'Unite' conference went very well thanks. My client, and most of the delegates had not seen the venue before and were most impressed. One of the delegates, from a Government organisation, said that the venue was perfect and probably the best in the area for a conference which needed flexibility and facilities.

Jim and his team were most helpful and accommodating of my 'picky' ways and requirements. They were helpful, supportive, professional and were a major contributory factor to the success of the event. The kitchen was made available for my caterers (a charity of people with learning difficulties) and, again, the King's Centre staff bent over backwards to help and support the catering too.

I will certainly consider the King's Centre for events in the future. It far surpassed my expectations and helped me to deliver and event for my client which met their, and my own, high standards."

"On behalf of the committee, I am writing to thank you and Mel for your help in ensuring that our regional annual dinner in Norwich was such a success.

The dinner had not been to Norwich for a number of years and the Bureau's role in suggesting a range of suitable venues, and providing accompanied familiarisation visits to the venues was invaluable.

The useful delegate information, assistance with the social programme and arrangements for hotel accommodation really eased the admin burden for the committee."

(Paul Dickson, RSA East of England Organiser).

"I would like to take a moment to thank yourself and Mel for your recent help placing an important event for us. With your understanding of my requirements for sensitivity and your creative ideas for solutions for our (quite specific!) problems, I feel that you have come up with the perfect option for consideration by our senior management.

As with our previous dealings, it has been a pleasure to work with you again."

(Anne Joyce, Head of Events at Moneyfacts)
